During this playful and experimental workshop, you will explore a range of water based materials including; acrylic, ink, collage, pastels and charcoal and will learn how to layer these up to create rich mixed media artworks full of texture and depth.
You will create your own collage papers by guided mark-making exercises and through the process of gelli- printing. You will then layer these papers up with other selected materials onto wooden panels to create a series of striking, abstract artworks.
This mixed media workshop will help you let go of perfectionism and find the joy that can be found when various materials are combined and layered.
Experience
The workshop is ideal for both beginners and more experienced artists who are looking to combine materials in exciting new ways.
